I have had the opportunity to use and review different makes of juicers. Now I only used masticating juicers because the quality of juice is superior as there is no heat created to burn off nutrients as in centrifugal juicers. These juicers are the best in their price range and very easy to maintain and clean. If you have an illness you are treating with juicing, I would recommend that you use the Norwalk or if that is too pricy at this time, then at least purchase a juicer like the Champion juicer a specific machine to triturate the fruits and vegetables and also purchase a separate juice press to squeeze the juice like the one from The Juice Press Factory at www.juicepressfactory.com.

This two step process of chopping and pressing your juice and vegetables gives you the best way to get the highest quality of nutrients and enzymes and the most quantity of juice. Of course the best way to get this quality yield of juice is to get the Norwalk juicer. Below you will find a brief review of some of the best juicers in different price ranges. 

I have used all these juicers that I have reviewed here and each one I found to be a quality machine but they do have differences in the amount of juice they produce and the overall operation and cleaning of the machines.

The Lexen Juicer

This juicer I found to be a real good value for the price. It was easy to clean and produced a decent amount of juice. I liked the option of having pulp and not having pulp using the screen provided but sometimes that screen was too full it blocked the juice from dropping into the tray. My biggest pet peeve was that it was made of plastic.

Overall it is a great value and I would say the best juicer at its price range.

Kempo Juicer

This juicer produced a very good quality and quantity of juice and comes with many other attachments options. It is a twin gear as opposed to a single gear and the parts that press the juice are made of metal. I found it a little more difficult to clean and I didn’t like that there were plastic parts but overall a step up from the Lexen.

This Juicer is a great value. Not only does it juice but it make nut butters, baby food and more.

Our Overall

I received the Hurom juicer and was anxious to see how this juicer compares to other juicers I reviewed last year.  The Hurom HU-100 is an auger based masticating juicer that cold presses vegetables, greens and fruits producing a higher yield of juice. The juice produced with this Hurom HU-100 had a subtle amount of froth in the juice and a slightly some foam. The juice's did not separate quickly when left in a sealed mason jar in the refrigerated. It did not last as long as the juice from the Norwalk juicer, but at 10% of the price of the Norwalk it was impressive. 

After using this juicer for some time now, I found that periodically not all of the vegetable gets fully juiced as a small portion remains in the juicer around the auger. This could have me lowering the rating but at this point I will keep it where it is rated.

The Hurom HU-100 is very easy to clean and makes very little noise. It would be great if this juicer was made of stainless steel however,  priced around the $300.00 USD and in Canada around $329.00 making it an amazing value. The motor is warranted for ten (10) years and other parts are warranted for two (2) years from the date of the original purchase.

Omega Masticating Juicer

Great quality juice from this juicer. Tested very good against similar designed juicers but would have been better if it was made of 100% stainless steel. Too many plastic parts but still did well. 

The upright juicer also produces great quality juices and very similar to the Hurom juicer.

The Super Angel Juicer

This juicer was a treat, twin gear, all stainless steel construction and easy to clean. I would recommend this juicer any time. This juicer makes a high quality juice and a high quantity of juice with a very dry pulp left at the end.  It is a little pricey but well worth it. This juicer was easiest to clean of all the juicers and what is even more attractive for me was that it is completely made of stainless steel.

The Norwalk  Juicer

Complete extraction. The tremendous pressure exerted by the Norwalk Hydraulic Press gently and completely extracts the natural fruit sugars, vitamins, trace minerals, enzymes, and other vital elements. This imparts to the juice an extremely fine quality and flavor which is unequaled by any other method of juice extraction.

Frozen Juices. Norwalk juices may be deep frozen and held for periods of up to 6 months with very little loss in food values. Green juices may be made up in quantities in season and frozen in ice cube trays and stored in plastic bags in your deep freeze.

Storage of juices. The Hydraulic Press method of juice extraction provides a minimum mixing of air with the juices which results in very slow oxidation or decomposition.
